  • Youth Poetry Contest (PDF) - Since April is National Poetry Month, we're asking teachers and parents of children who write poetry to send in a poem to Auburn's Poet Laureate. Send via email by April 15, noting their name, age and school. One per child please. The City of Auburn's Poet Laureate, James Rodgers, will pick his favorites and they will be published in the Auburn Reporter. Good luck young poets! 
  • Auburn's Be a FORCE of Nature Earth Day virtual 5K - Another virtual 5K to keep you moving! Participation is FREE and prizes are available. During a time convenient for you, between April 21 - 25, walk/run/jog/bike a 5K. Post your photo(s) within the event or email us (by noon on April 26) for your chance to win some great swag!
  • Visit the Museum in April - the White River Valley Museum is open for timed admission every Thursday and Friday in April. Grab your friends and family and have the museum all to yourself! Advance reservations required. 
  • Clean Sweep -just around the corner, scheduled for Saturday, April 24. Projects will focus on clean-up, environmental restoration and beautification efforts around Auburn. Volunteer groups will work on light clean-up and maintenance, weeding and planting and a handful of other projects. Groups and individuals are asked to pre-register. 
  • "Auburn's Amazing Art" Geocaching Adventure! - This is the perfect adventure for those looking for a fun reason to get outside, explore new parts of Auburn, and see some great art along the way! This great geocaching guides participants in finding five works of Public Art around Auburn. I-phone or I-pad users can download the FREE Adventure Lab app to start their adventure!
  • Auburn's Dog Trot 3K/5K virtual Fun Run - this annual run is being planned as virtual. If conditions allow, it may be shifted to in-person. Registration is available for $18/person and includes T-Shirt, full-color race bib and participation medal. Remaining virtual is an option. Domestic shipping is available for $5/packet.
