FREE -Due to COVID-19, this year's Gingerbread Contest will be moving to a virtual contest.
This fun event celebrates the holidays and brings the community out to see what Auburn can build! Any structures real or imaginary, houses, igloos, spaceships, etc. will be accepted. This event is free and open to all groups and individuals Nationwide.
Virtual entries live & voting opens: Monday, November 30, 2020
Voting ends & contest closes: Friday, December 18, 2020
VOTE for your favorite in each age category
A winner from each category will be announced on Saturday, December 19, 2020 will be awarded a $25 Jimmy John's gift card and a $25 Auburn Parks, Arts & Recreation gift card!
Applicants must adhere to the contest rules listed on the application:
- Child category is ages 12 and under - if selecting the child category the child must construct 100% of the structure.
- Teen category is ages 13-18
- Adult category is ages 19 and up
- Entry must be appropriate for audiences of all ages
- Entry must be original and built in 2020
- Entry must be 90% edible on the exterior
- Any structure - real or imaginary is eligible for entry i.e. house, train, igloo, spaceship, etc.
- Each applicant must submit 5-10 photos of their structure.
- Please submit a mix of photos that include your structure being built and in it's finished form
- The City of Auburn reserves the right to remove any entry from display at any time, for any reason, and at its sole discretion
