CITY OF AUBURN
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
A public hearing will be held before the Auburn City Council on July 15, 2019 in the City Hall Council Chambers located at 25 West Main Street, Auburn, Washington, on the following:
Payback Agreement Number 2019-01
North Auburn Logistics, LLC designed and constructed approximately 1,810 feet of 12” water main with valves and fire hydrants along West Valley Highway and S 287th Street. This agreement will allow North Auburn Logistics, LLC to recover partial costs related to the design and construction of those improvements over time when other benefiting properties choose to connect to the system. Benefitting properties are parcels 352204-9022, 352204-9016, 352204-9024, 352204-9047, 352204-9082, 352204-9046, 352204-9028, 352204-6067, and 362204-9013.
The total cost for this project was $188,907.60. In order to apportion the total project cost on the basis of the potential benefit provided to each parcel, the total cost was divided by the total linear front footage of all parcels and apportioned to each on that basis. The extension serves a total of 3,615 linear feet, therefore, the assessment is $52.26 per linear foot.
A draft of the proposed agreement, which includes a description of the assessment reimbursement area, has been prepared and is on file and open to inspection at the office of the City Clerk, City of Auburn, 25 West Main Street, Auburn, WA, 98001.
Any person desiring to testify regarding the desirability and the sufficiency of the proposed assessment reimbursement area and methods of calculating reimbursement assessments and the amounts thereof, may do so at the hearing itself or may make any and all objections in writing and file them with the City Clerk on or before the date fixed for the hearing on the assessment reimbursement area. All objections must state clearly the grounds of the objections and should contain an identifying description of the property.
At the time and place fixed, and at such other times to which the hearing may be adjourned, the Auburn City Council will consider agreement and may approve, correct, revise, raise, lower, change or modify the assessment reimbursement area or any part thereof, or set aside the agreement and order a new apportionment of charges.
For citizens with disabilities who are requesting translators or adaptive equipment for communication purposes, the City is asking to be notified within ten (10) calendar days of the Council meeting as to the type of service or equipment needed.
