ForestWalk
The Auburn Mountain View Cemetery, nestled in a forested
area, offers a peaceful and contemplative environment for those choosing
cremation plots. ForestWalk Phase I is a cremation garden that was
established in 2006, offering in-ground plots set within the tranquil woods, with
a quiet retreat for reflection and memorialization of loved ones. Paths meander
through trees, winding among the plots, providing a sense of solitude and
connection to nature.
ForestWalk Phase II was completed in 2012 and focused
around a 75-foot water feature that ends with a cascading fall into a pool with
fish. The gentle sound of birdsong and the distant hum of a creek creates a
calming atmosphere. The trails lead you through the Noble fir trees, and other northwest
plantings, including Japanese maples, yews, forest grass, blood grass,
mondo grass, Mugo pines, bonsai black pine and so on. The area includes more
than 375 urn plots and four 16-niche columbariums that overlook the cascade
mountain range and the Auburn Valley.
In 2016, a new 95-niche round shaped columbarium was placed.
The eagle on top and columbarium are made from granite with granite foundation.
Memorials in ForestWalk include unique upright options,
engraved benches, boulders, and birdbaths.
ForestWalk Phase III was divided into two parts. The
first one was completed at the end of Fall 2024 and continues to offer unique
cremation placement options. This new area includes more than 350 single &
double cremation plots with a wide range of memorial options to choose from for
your loved ones. A flowing water feature
and bridges that connect beautifully landscaped walking paths, make this area
serene and peaceful. Each cremation berm is thoughtfully designed to blend
harmoniously with the surroundings.
The natural beauty and the reverence of this space create a perfect setting for remembering loved ones, surrounded by the eternal serenity of the forest.
