Auburn Way North – 30th Street NE to 35th Street NE

Beginning Friday, October 25, 2019 through Thursday, October 31, 2019 construction work by Miles Resources for the Duffy’s Auto Brokerage project will require lane closures and disruptions to northbound traffic on Auburn Way North, from 30th Street NE to 35th Street NE, weekdays from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This work is not dependent on weather.

Access to residences and businesses within the project area will be maintained during construction, but delays should be expected. Pedestrians will be accommodated through the work zone.

Auburn Way South – Elm Street SE to Hemlock Street SE

On Wednesday, October 23, 2019 through Wednesday, November 6, 2019, construction work by Oceanside Construction, Inc. for the 2019 Storm Repair and Replacement Project will require lane closures and disruptions to both directions of traffic on Auburn Way South, from Elm Street SE to Hemlock Street SE. To accommodate commuter traffic the lane closures will occur during the following times:

• East bound curb-lane closures will occur between 6:00 AM and 2:30 PM

• West bound curb-lane closures will occur between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM

Access to residences and businesses within the project area will be maintained during construction, but delays should be expected. Pedestrians will be accommodated through the work zone. This work is not dependent on weather.

Kersey Way SE – Oravetz Road SE to 50th Street SE

On Monday, October 21, 2019 through Friday, October 25, 2019, construction work by Pavement Maintenance of Washington for the Sewer Manhole Ring and Cover Replacement project, will require lane closures and disruptions to both directions of traffic on Kersey Way SE, from Oravetz Road SE to 50th Street SE, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This work is dependent on weather and may be re-scheduled without further notice.

Access to residences and businesses within the project area will be maintained during construction but delays should be expected. Please pay close attention to signs and flaggers. Pedestrians will be accommodated through the work zone.

Intersection of 6th Street SE and Auburn Way South

On Wednesday, October 23, 2019, construction work by Pavement Maintenance of Washington for the CP1913 Sewer Manhole Ring and Cover Replacement project, will require lane closures and disruptions to the eastbound through/right-turn lane on 6th Street SE at the Auburn Way South intersection, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This work is dependent on weather and may be re-scheduled without further notice.

Access to residences and businesses within the project area will be maintained during construction, but delays should be expected. Please pay close attention to police officers, flaggers and signs. Pedestrians will be escorted through the work zone during the times stated above. A temporary steel plate will be placed over the work area through the night and may encroach into the crosswalk. Pedestrians should use caution.

Lake Tapps Parkway – 8th Street E to Lakeland Hills Way - NIGHT WORK

On Monday night, October 14, 2019 through Wednesday morning, October 16, 2019, construction work by ICON Materials for the 2019 Citywide Patch and Overlay Project will require lane closures and disruptions of both directions of traffic on Lake Tapps Parkway, from 8th Street E to Lakeland Hills Way from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM. This work is dependent on weather and may be re-scheduled without further notice.

Signed detour routes for access to East Valley Highway will be posted. Delays should be expected.

Pedestrians will be accommodated through the work zone.  Sidewalks within the work zone will be accessible.

A Street SE – East Main Street to 6th Street SE

Beginning Monday, October 14, 2019 through Friday, October 25, 2019, construction work by Pivetta Brothers Construction for the A Street SE Preservation project, will require lane closures and disruptions on A St Street SE, from East Main Street to 6th Street SE, between 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. One travel lane in each direction will be maintained during construction.

Access to residences and businesses within the project area will be maintained during construction, but delays should be expected. Pedestrian access and routes through the work zone are expected to be maintained, however if pedestrian access is impacted then signed pedestrian detours will be in place. This work is dependent on weather and may be re-scheduled without further notice.

Oravetz Road SE – 600’ West of Kennedy Avenue SE to R Street SE/Kersey Way SE

On Wednesday, October 9, 2019 to Thursday, October 17, 2019, construction work by Pavement Maintenance of Washington for the CP1913 Sewer Manhole Ring and Cover Replacement project, will require lane closures and disruptions to both directions of traffic on Oravetz Road SE, from 600 feet west of Kennedy Avenue SE to the intersection at R Street SE/Kersey Way SE, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This work is dependent on weather and may be re-scheduled without further notice.

Access to residences and businesses within the project area will be maintained during construction, but delays should be expected. Pedestrians will be accommodated through the work zone.

Kersey Way SE – Evergreen Way SE/53rd Street SE to 1st Street Court East

Beginning Monday, October 7, 2019 through approximately Friday, January 31, 2020, construction work by KLB Construction, for the Auburn School District Elementary School 15 project will require lane closures and disruptions to both directions of traffic on Kersey Way SE, from Evergreen Way SE/53rd Street SE to 1st Street Court East, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM until 2:30 PM. This work is not dependent on weather.

Access to residences and businesses within the project area will be maintained during construction, but delays should be expected. Pedestrians will be accommodated through the work zone.

M Street SE – 25th Street SE to 29th Street SE

Beginning Wednesday, September 18, 2019 through Friday, November 22, 2019, construction work by Rodarte Construction, for the 2019 Local Street Reconstruction project, will require intermittent lane closures and disruptions to both directions of M Street SE, from 25th Street SE to 29th Street SE, during the following times:

• Mondays - between the hours of 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM
• Tuesdays - Fridays - between the hours of 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM

Access to residences and businesses within the project area will be maintained during construction, but delays should be expected. Pedestrian access and routes through the work zone are expected to be maintained, however if pedestrian access is impacted then signed pedestrian detours will be in place.

Auburn Way South (SR 164) – 17th Street SE to Muckleshoot Plaza  SPEED LIMIT REDUCTION

Starting Friday, August 16, 2019, the speed limit in both directions of Auburn Way South between 17th Street SE and Muckleshoot Plaza will be reduced to 35 mph as part of the Auburn Way South Sidewalk Improvements project.

This will provide a safer work zone for our construction crews onsite as well as the travelling public driving through the project area.

Auburn Way South (SR 164) - 17th Street SE to Muckleshoot Plaza

Beginning Thursday, August 8, 2019, through the end of October 2019, construction work by R.W. Scott Construction for the Auburn Way South (SR 164) Sidewalk Improvements project, will require a right lane closure of westbound traffic on Auburn Way South (SR 164), from 17th Street SE to Muckleshoot Plaza, weekdays between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM. This work is dependent on weather and may be re-scheduled without further notice.  

Access to residences and businesses within the project area will be maintained during construction, but delays should be expected.

A Street SE – East Main Street to 17th Street SE

On Monday, July 15, 2019 through Friday, October 25, 2019, construction work by Pivetta Brothers Construction, for the A Street SE Preservation project, will require intermittent lane closures and disruptions to both directions of A Street SE, from East Main Street to 17th Street SE during the following specified times:

• Northbound A Street SE between the hours of 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Southbound A Street SE between the hours of 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM 

This work is dependent on weather and may be re-scheduled without further notice.

On Monday, April 29, 2019, through Friday, November 22, 2019, construction work by Stafford Excavating for the MIT Allotment M7 West project, will require lane closures and disruptions to both directions of Auburn Way South, from Union Court SE to 32nd Street SE, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This work is not dependent on weather and may be re-scheduled without further notice.
