NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING REGARDING THE 2020-2024 CONSOLIDATED PLAN FOR THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM
The City of Auburn and King County will conduct a public meeting in the Auburn Community and Events Center, 910 9th St SE, on Monday, April 1, 2019 at 5:30 PM. The purpose of this public meeting is to solicit public input on barriers to Fair Housing and human services and community development needs prior to development of the 2020-2024 Consolidated Plan.
The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requires that municipalities receiving Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds complete a Consolidated Plan that guides the investment of federal housing and community development funds over a five year period.
In accordance with 24 CFR 91 of HUD, the City of Auburn solicits comments and public input for its 2020 - 2024 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.
The King County Consortium and the City of Auburn will be holding a public meeting to receive community input prior to developing their 2020-2024 Consolidated Plans. The Consolidated Plan will include information on human service and community development needs as well as barriers to fair housing for Auburn and King County residents.
Written comments will also be accepted. The deadline for the consideration of written comments and/or suggestions is Friday, June 28, 2019; they may be addressed to Joy Scott with Auburn’s Community Services at the above address, or faxed to 253-804-3114.
Non-English speaking residents and individuals with speech, sight, or hearing impairments who wish to participate in the meeting with accommodations should contact the Auburn Department of Community Development. Each request will be considered individually according to the type of assistance required, the availability of resources, and the financial ability of the City to provide accommodation.
