Options for the pre-school age are abundant in Auburn and include Indoor Playground at the Gymnasium at Les Gove Park, Arts & Crafts classes, dance, music, pre-school sport programs, adult-participation programs and much more.
Programs and classes vary with each new registration session.

Bring your crafty crawler to this exciting, semi-structured class! We’ll sing, read books, move around, explore crafts, paint, free play, and more. An amazing opportunity to help your child develop fine motor and social skills!

Bring your crafty crawler to this exciting, semi structured class! Adding a pumpkin themed twist to our normal layout, all activities will be seasonally themed. We’ll celebrate the sights, sounds, and textures of the harvest season through books, crafts, painting, sensory play, and more.

1-Day Holiday Gingerbread Workshop
Join us for a hands-on gingerbread decorating event for little ones and their grown-ups! A magical evening of holiday cheer and delicious creativity! We’ll provide everything needed to create your own edible masterpiece, including house-building materials, frosting, and a colorful array of candies.

Join us for this into to ballet and creative movement class. Little ones will practice tiptoeing, twirling, stretching, and dancing as we cultivate a love for movement in a fun and supportive environment.
Little Warriors | Fridays | 11:00-11:45AM
Let’s run, crawl, tumble, balance, and stretch in this gymnastics-inspired Ninja Warrior class! Packed with obstacle courses, upbeat music, and creative movement, kids will explore tumbling techniques, balance challenges, and fun gymnastics skills in an action-filled environment.

Intro to Yoga & Creative Movement PM | Mondays | 5:15-6:00PM
In this interactive class, participants will stretch, flow, pose, and explore movement through guided activities and imaginative play. It’s the perfect way to build and foster a mind-body connection while getting all those wiggles out!

Duck, Duck, Goose, Red Light/Green Light, Musical Chairs, and more! In this hands-on class, participants will spend the morning playing classic games while building social skills, coordination, and confidence.

Pre-school Sports
An introduction for you and your toddler to the world of sports. You and your child participate together in fun, age-appropriate activities that help your child develop their large motor skills and socialization skills.

Kids Playtime
Location: Auburn Community and Event Center
Fee: $10 for 2 hours of care
Do you need a couple of hours to yourself, have an appointment, or want to meet up with a friend and do not have a sitter? We can help! Bring your child, ages 2-10 to our drop-in childcare program and we will keep them entertained and safe. All staff have undergone a National Background Check. Two hours of care for $10.
Call the Auburn Parks, Arts & Recreation Office at 253-931-3043 for specific times and days. Times and days coordinate with fitness classes and may change quarterly. Staff are unable to change children’s clothing. View full fitness schedule.
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday | 9:30AM-11:00AM | Resumes September 21, 2026 | $3 per child
- Pop in and play! This 1.5-hour preschool drop-in program turns our indoor gym into its very own playground! Staff set up bikes, blocks, balls, toys, scooters, and a bounce house. Stay, play, and meet fellow parents!
